Not every hard day gets easier by the end of it. Sometimes it stays hard, without a revelation tucked inside or a clear reason to feel grateful for getting through.
There is a familiar urge to find the lesson, to say the struggle made me stronger, to wrap the day in a sentence that sounds complete. I do not always believe that sentence. Sometimes it asks too much of a moment that was simply heavy.
I can acknowledge that a day hurt without turning it into proof of progress. I can say I am tired without calling it a turning point. The truth does not have to be inspiring to be worth writing down.
So this is what I have: today was hard. I do not know what it means, and I do not have to decide yet. For now, naming it plainly feels more honest than pretending it arrived with an answer.
